Summary |
Ribbon embroidery first became popular during the French Rococo period (1750-1780s) when the attire of royalty and the court ladies was profusely decorated with sprays of ribbonwork done by the professional stitchers from "officially sanctioned"embroidery houses. In the 1980's, ribbon embroidery slowly started to emerge from a lengthy dormant period to it's present day explosion. This book has chosen versions that are easily workable and also highly effective. Occasionally we show one or more examples of a flower. |
