Description |
Center medallion top of a pastel floral wreath with a single blue bow, carried out in 1" squares, on a patterned grey on white background, comprising the entire center of the quilt top. A coordinating narrower section forms the pillow cover at the top of the quilt. The sides and bottom are formed of large squares of the grey on white background fabric, surrounded by pink crackle print strips with sashing and border of a blue on blue grained print. The pieced portions of the center field and pillow cover are backed in white nylon netting. The entire quilt top is machine sewn in white thread. No batting, back, or quilting. Also present are fabrics from making the top, cut in a variety of strips and small squares. |

Email from Dale Drake to Merikay Waldvogel June 2018 confirmed that this is an Anne Orr pattern, documented on page 31 of Merikay's book "Soft Covers for Hard Times." The pattern was published in "Quilts and Quilting: Set 100 (1932)". |
