White cotton child's slip with drop waist and short ruffled skirt of three bands of matching cotton alternating with lace insertion, finished in matching lace. The neckline and armholes are edged in lace that does not match the insertion in the skirt. Machine sewn. |

From deed of gift: "Made by Marie Webster for her granddaughters from old pantalettes circa 1940." Since the insertion is machine sewn this probably refers to turn of the century drawers rather than true pantalettes. |
