New Patchwork Quilt Patterns American Beauty Rose pattern with blueprint, one tissue paper paste-up, cardboard templates, one partial block, two cotton applique pieces and four pieces of fabric. This pattern was also known as Pink Rose and Rose. A - Blueprint. "Rose Quilt Pattern, 11/27/14, Marie D. Webster, Marion, Indiana". The blueprint pattern is for 17 pieces of the Rose Quilt. It has been applied to a nonwoven interfacing backing. 14.75" high x 18.5" wide. B - Tissue paper paste-up of corner of border showing a swag in two colors of pink and green with a rosebud in the bow position, stamped in one corner: "Corner of Border". 9.75" high by 26" wide. C - cardboard template, rose, marked "Rose dark pink cut 16". D- cardboard template, marked "Border leaf dark green, 14 for small quilt, 3 x 4 block". E - cardboard template, marked "Border bud medium pink". F - cardboard template, marked "Leaf dark green cut 64 or 48". G - cardboard template, marked "Dark green 13 for small quilt". H - cardboard template, marked "Dark green 13 for small quilt". I - cardboard template, marked "34 light green trellis". J - cardboard template, marked "Medium pink". K - cardboard template, circle, no writing. L - Pink cotton bud shape cut from a bud template (the pattern has no cardboard bud template). M through O - brown paper templates, scalloped swags. P - Partially completed block with a muslin background, one bud and three sets of leaves basted and finely appliqued to the background, as well as one piece of curved trellis in a lighter green. A rose has been partially sewn down and then completely removed, leaving a pink stitched outline. 17" x 16.75" Q - Section of curved trellis in light green, basted and ready to applique. 6" long. R - Length of blue/green cotton fabric with leaves cut out of two edges. Selvedge is present on both sides. 35" selvedge to selvedge, and 19" deep. S - Length of pink cotton fabric from which roses have been cut along two sides. Some selvedge is present on both sides. 34.5" selvedge to selvedge, and 11.5" deep. T - Piece of white cotton muslin with four raw edges. 22" x 7" U - Strip of fine quality cream cotton, finely woven, with four raw edges. 1.5" x 13" |
