Description |
Harbor Light Ensemble consists of jacket, sleeveless top and pants. Shaped jacket has a standing collar, long sleeves with cuffs, and a cummerbund waist Vertical flexicurve piecing creates flames on the jacket body and sleeves in shades of cream and gold with scarlet accents. The front placket has a curved overlay. The front closure is an O-ring zipper with Velcro on the cummerbund waist. The cuffs and collar are different gold prints. Both cuffs and collar are secured with two star-shaped yellow plastic buttons. The jacket's label is a flame-shaped applique in the inside center back on which "'Harbor Light' by Georgia J. Bonesteel" is written in machine stitching. The interior is lined in a gold print. The cummerbund waist is in the same gold print as the interior, with curved appliqued lines of khaki which coordinate with the top and pants. Machine quilted in lines following the curves of the flames, extending up from the waist and the sleeve cuffs. Tighter flames are quilted on the cuffs and the front placket closure. Tight flame quilting appears on the white triangles near the armscye. The jacket is lightly padded. |

The jacket reflects the flame created with vertical flexicurve techniques. Some hand dyed red fabric is used so caution with laundering.
