There are 11 suns displaying 11 techniques: prairie points, quilting, beading, embroidery, reverse applique, feather stitch, stenciling, glitz, machine applique, machine embroidery, found objects. Piece is one layer with edges hemmed. The suns are in gold with red-brown detailing on a turquoise background with a wide brown border which is hemmed. There is no batting, backing or quilting. Each of the techniques is labeled below the sun. Most of them on a gold applique label. Labels and Helen Kelley's signature are all done with a red-brown pigma pen. |
