Description |
This quilt is a compilation of six of Marie Webster's rose patterns. All are carried out in bright and light pink and a deep emerald green. The pattern shows a single rose sprig in the center within a pink border on point, and a larger rose motif in the four quadrants surrounded by a rose vine with buds. The undulating vine delineates an outer border of black and white ticking stripes. The binding is bright pink to match the roses. The backing is a pale pink print with a peach print used as the hanging sleeve. Hand quilting is in a one inch hanging square grid. Quilting averages 9-10 stitches per inch in white thread through a thin batt. The label on the reverse gives all of the pattern names for the different roses: "Marie's Roses by Rose Marie Werner, 3104 Millersburg Blvd E, Dundas MN 55019 507-649-0171 Wool batting A compilation of Rose Patterns Upper left: Wreath of Roses Right: Cluster of Roses Bottom left: Wayside Roses Right: American Beauty Rose Center: Cherokee Rose Border: Magpie Rose 2009 Triple Anniversary Challenge - The Quilters Hall of Fame" |
