Description |
The quilt is composed of indigo and cadet blue prints and a variety of shirtings. Center panel is composed of three 4 1/4" four patch blocks set on point, set with setting squares and triangles to form a visual panel of ten indigo squares on a shirting background. Bordered top and bottom with 3/8" blue fabric. Then bordered left and right with 2" blocks alternating blue and white fabrics, one 1/2" blue border and another column of 2" blocks alternating blue and white fabrics. Final border top and bottom of blue fabric. 1/4" blue binding. Indigo print back. 1 3/4" muslin sleeve on back. Size: 15 1/2" wide x 21 1/4" tall Predominant colors: Blue and white Techniques: hand piecing, hand quilting A provenance label is also on the back. |
