Description |
Center field of half square triangles in brown and cream prints. Center four blocks were found as a single pieced block and built around to form the field. Striped border in manganese brown was added one side at a time, with a partial seam technique used for the final side. 1/4" binding of manganese brown printed stripe. Quilting pattern: outline quilting. Border straight stitched around 3 times; once 1/4" inside, inner seam and twice inside binding once at 1/8" and again at 3/8". Muslin backing. 1 1/4" muslin sleeve attached by hand across top on back. Predominant Colors: browns, whites, creams Techniques: hand pieced, hand quilted A provenance label is also on the back. |
