Description |
Pieced field is quarter-square triangles in a broken dishes pattern in a wide variety of blue, rust and Cheddar prints. The center features a four-pointed star made of half-square triangles in bright blue print and a red and black check, with a rust polka-dot center square. The pieced field is surrounded with red and navy woven check strips top and bottom, and blue print strips on either side. The rust polka-dot border is wider at the bottom and top. 1/4" Binding is the red and navy woven check. Back is cream cotton. 2" sleeve on back. Quilting pattern: outline quilting, linear border quilting, all in brown thread. 9 stitches per inch. Predominant colors: rusts and blues Techniques: hand piecing, hand quilting A provenance label is also on the back. |
