Description |
Six broken dish blocks (2 across and 3 down) in brown and white plaids, stripes and shirtings. Inner border made from tan and brown striped fabric with a black flower print. Second border made of triangles in browns, whites and creams. Third border medium brown chambray. Bound with a brown and cream twill attached by hand. Backing is a small black and white print, probably antique. 1 1/2" sleeve across back at top. Quilting pattern: Pieced sections are outline quilted. Quadruple lines in inner border. Outer border cable quilted. Predominant colors: Browns, whites, creams Techniques: hand pieced, hand quilted A provenance label is also on the back. |
